Real Madrid‘s Brahim Diaz was lucky to get away with a yellow card in the second half against Juventus for a studs-up foul on Khephren Thuram.

The incident happened at minute 61 with the result still set to 0-0.

Brahim, a former Milan star, tried to win the ball in the middle of the park but ended up hitting Thuram just above the ankle with his cleats pointed upwards.

Brahim’s reckless tackle was right in front of referee Slavko Vinčić, who booked Brahim and was not called for an on-field review.

Several users on social media complained that Brahim should have been sent off, even if Juventus players did not complain excessively on the pitch.

Real Madrid eventually beat Juventus 1-0 thanks to Jude Bellingham’s first goal this season.
