Good evening and welcome to the Football Italia Liveblog for coverage of this evening’s Coppa Italia second round clash between Milan and Lecce in San Siro.
Kick-off is scheduled for 20.00 BST.
Milan are coming in off the back of a 2-0 win over Bari in the first round, which was Max Allegri’s first competitive match back in charge of the Rossoneri.
Lecce, meanwhile, qualified after a 2-0 victory over Juve Stabia in August.
The winner of this evening’s tie will go on to face Lazio in the third round (round of 16) on December 3.
Pulisic’s corner is cleared comfortably, and there goes the whistle! Milan will face Lazio in the round of 16 on December 3.
Milan will have one last chance from a corner.
Two minutes added on.
Rabiot sportingly knocks the ball out of play so that Danilo Veiga can receive treatment.
Balentien is dispossessed by Gaspar on his way into the Lecec area.
This game is becoming an exercise in possession for Milan in the closing stages. No chance for Lecce, San Siro is beginning to clear out already.
Coulibaly comes on to replace Berisha for Lecce. Gaspar takes the captain’s armband.
Odogu comes on for his Milan debut, replacing Pavlovic, who was on a yellow card.
Fofana blazes over from the edge of the area after a passage of Milan possession in the final third.
Maignan records his first save of the game. He stands still and gets a strong pair of fists to Pierotti’s free-kick, which was well struck but lacking in direction.
Pavlovic goes into the book for a foul on Pierotti, who was about to burst into the Milan area. Plenty of Rossoneri defenders back, though. No chance of a red this time.
Teenager Balentien is on to replace Gimenez for Milan.
Fofana with the cross in from the right flank, Pulisic with a first-time finish in the middle of the area. He’s only been on for a matter of minutes!
Pulisic’s corner is cleared routinely.
Corner Milan.
Athekame comes on for his Milan debut. Saelemaekers off.
Nkunku also makes way for Pulisic.
Bartesaghi’s cross is begging to be hit. Nkunku doesn’t get there, Fofana tries, and Fruchtl pulls out another impressive save. The flag is up anyway, but that was a terrific stop from the German.
Gallo replaces Morente in a defensive change for Lecce.
Saelemaekers with the attempt on target this time. Fruchtl has done well to keep this at 2-0.
Rabiot tests Fruchtl this time. It’s well hit, but straight at the keeper from 18 yards out.
Fofana fires a shot at Fruchtl from the edge of the area. Easily claimed by the German.
Nkunku scores with an incredible, acrobatic effort from Milan’s corner. The corner went short initially, Saelemaekers then delivered, and Nkunku finished emphatically. Out comes the balloon.
Gimenez wins a corner after making the most of a tricky ball in from Tomori.
Nkunku blazes over from the corner of the six-yard box after a neat exchange with Fofana on the edge of the area.
Loftus-Cheek makes it into the area off the right flank, tries to do it all himself, and eventually hits the far post with a decent effort. That’s three times for Milan now.
