Matias Soulé has had a promising start to the season at Roma, but Italy fans won’t see him wear the Azzurri shirt as the 22-year-old will wait for an Argentina call-up.
Roma star Soulé has reiterated that he is not interested in a call-up from the Italy national team, as he desires to impose himself with Argentina.
Soulé won’t play for Italy

Clear ideas and no confusion from the Roma star, who has had a very good start to the season at the Stadio Olimpico, with three goals and two assists in six appearances across all competitions.
Soulé joined Roma in a deal close to €30m in the summer of 2024, and the Giallorossi are confident that his market value won’t decrease.
De Rossi convinced Soulé to join Roma

The Argentine, in fact, struggled in 2024-25, especially under Ivan Juric, after Daniele De Rossi had convinced him to join Roma despite interest from English clubs.
Now, under Gian Piero Gasperini, Soulé is imposing himself as one of the few irreplaceable players at Roma, in a season that has started really well and will bring big expectations for the coming months.
