Full-time in Genoa as the visitors claim all three points.
Genoa continue to look for a goal but Lazio are defending well and not offering the hosts any easy chances.
The young Italian has a golden opportunity to get his second goal but fires the ball way over from close range.
Carboni, Stanciu, Ekhator and Ekuban enter for Vitinha, Colombo, Malinovskyi and Masini
Lazio make a change of their own with Nuno Tavares coming on for Luca Pellegrini
Lazio go three up from the resulting free-kick, with Luca Pellegrini putting a fine ball into the box and a goalmouth scramble capitalised upon by Mattia Zaccagni.
Malinovskyi goes into the book for a cynical foul.
Upon the VAR review, Romagnoli’s handball has been determined accidental and the penalty has been overturned.
The referee goes over to the screen for a VAR review of the decision.
Genoa earn a penalty after a handball…
Lazio win a free-kick after a fast counter attack spearheaded by Cancellieri. The resulting set-piece is poor though and lands safely in Leali’s gloves.
Masini is booked for a poor foul on Boulaye Dia.
Lazio kick off as play resumes for the second half.
The half-time whistle goes as Lazio head into the break with a two goal advantage. Genoa have had a couple of good chances late into the half to get a goal back but Biancocelesti keeper Ivan Provedel has made some big saves to deny them.
Martin puts another good ball into the box but Colombo failed to really connect with it and Provedel made a good save to put the ball out for a corner.
Another long-range effort from Malinovskyi followed the corner and the Lazio keeper was once again called into action.
A fantastic pass sees Ellertsson one-on-one with Provedel but the goalkeeper gets a huge hand to the resulting effort.
The pace of the game has slowed down slightly, as Lazio look to sit on their lead heading into the half-time break. A lot of fouls flying around as the game continues to stop-and-start.
Ruslan Malinovskyi steps up to the free-kick and drives it narrowly past Ivan Provedel’s left-hand post.
Lazio midfielder Cataldi, on his 250th appearance, has been presented with a yellow card. The midfielder committed a cheeky foul on the edge of the box and Genoa have a good opportunity from the set-piece…
Hysaj comes on for the injured Marusic as Lazio’s infirmary continues to grow larger and larger.
A good one-two between Adam Marusic and Taty Castellanos gave the Argentine a perfect chance to roll the ball into the back of the net. Unfortunately, Marusic appears to have injured himself in the process of his assist.
Genoa are growing into the game. Poor play out the back from Lazio saw Vitinha cut the ball back across the penalty box and Colombo fired way over from close range. The Italian should have done better with that chance.
